Shree Yashwantrao Maharaj, also known as Dev Mamledar and Damaji Pant was born on September 13, 1815 in a pious family in Pune district. Shree Yashwantrao, with his very strong spiritual recognition, demonstrated beyond doubt the reality of God when faith in God was crumbling.
Shree Yashwantrao Maharaja’s divine and humble personality attracted people of different religion, races, creeds and castes to him.
Everyone who was associated with him felt strengthened by his authority, insights to life and altruistic love. Every disciple saw in him the supreme demonstration of his ideal.
Shree Yashwantrao Maharaj, who was born in 1815 passed away in 1887. His complete life was evidently reflection of God, always serving the poor and needy.
The ‘leela’ (divine activity) of Maharaj did not end with his Maha Samadhi (detaching his mortal body). His devotees continue to experience his miracles even today.
A Beautiful Samadhi temple is built by his devotees at Panchavati, Nasik, on the banks of river Godavari.
